privacy
fraegile is an app for private self-reflection. We built it so that your reflections stay yours.
what we collect
In the app: nothing. fraegile has no accounts of its own, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no servers that receive your data. We never see your reflections.
where your reflections are stored
- iPhone: on your device, and in your own iCloud (Apple's key-value storage) so they survive a reinstall and reach your other Apple devices. Only your Apple account can access them.
- Android: on your device. Android's own backup to your Google account may include them, if you have backup turned on.
- If you sign in with Google (optional, on Android): also in your own Google Drive, in a hidden folder that only fraegile can open, so they reach your other devices.
Deleting the app deletes the reflections on that device.
signing in with google
Signing in is optional. fraegile asks Google only for two things: access to its own hidden app folder in your Google Drive (it cannot see any of your other files), and your email address, so the app can show who is signed in. Your reflections go straight from your device to your Drive – they never pass through a server of ours, and we cannot read them. You can sign out in the app's menu at any time; that stops the syncing and gives the permission back to Google. The copy in your Drive stays there for your other devices; you can delete it in Google Drive under Settings → Manage apps → fraegile → Delete hidden app data.
on-device ai
fraegile can write a short summary of a possible pattern in your reflections using artificial intelligence that runs entirely on your device – Apple's built-in model on supported iPhones, or a small open model (Qwen 2.5) that the app downloads once from Hugging Face. Your reflections are never sent anywhere for this. Downloading the model is the only network request the ai needs, and it contains none of your data. Every summary says whether ai was used. You can turn the ai off in the app's menu, which also deletes a downloaded model.
subscription (apps)
In the iPhone and Android apps, fraegile offers an optional subscription, fraegile plus. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID, or by Google Play through your Google account: we never receive your name, your payment details or your reflections. The app only asks the store on your device whether a subscription is active. Without it, fraegile runs on a little energy: 12 bubbles, and each of your first 6 combines gives one back. The energy is counted on your device only. You can cancel anytime in your Apple ID's subscription settings or in Google Play under payments & subscriptions.
this website
app.fraegile.com only introduces the app and links to the App Store and Google Play. If you allow it, the website counts visits with Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.): which pages were opened, roughly from where and with which device, and which store button was tapped. Without your okay, no analytics code is loaded and no cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with “analytics settings” at the bottom of the start page. None of this applies to the app itself.
